A letter from the GM - All newcomers should read

First off... welcome to Nationwide Wrestling! Welcome to Path to Glory!
You will no doubt have numerous questions, as do most people when they first arrive. Like, Who is the interviewer here? Where is fed HQ? What titles do you have? What the hell is a Thunder dome match?! The usual... Well, let me give you the rundown and then, if you need to know anything else, just ask.
A brief History
Path to Glory started out small, real small. In 2016, Owner, Ricky King, better known as Irish Wolfhound, bought an old disused fish factory in a run down area of London and sunk every penny into it to turn it into a wrestling arena and Path to Glory was born.
Ricky brought in his old friend and mentor Owen McManus, a retired wrestler from his home town of Belfast, on board as General Manager and together, they started to build a federation.
They brought in staff and began to bring in wrestlers, some of whom are still with the company today, some are now staff. Many left but better wrestlers took their place and over time, the small outfit grew into a national company and continues to grow and evolve.
Path to Glory is expanding throughout the United Kingdom with bases in Belfast, Aberdeen, Manchester and Swansea as well as the main HQ at The Factory Arena in London. The first new Arena has recently been completed in Manchester. Due to the recent death of Owen McManus, the arena has been named the McManus Arena.
The Facts
Path to Glory is a fictional Federation based in London, UK.
The main arena is currently The Factory Arena in London but PPV's are normally at Wembley Stadium, also in London. Please keep this in mind when you are creating storylines.
New Arena's are being built. The first to be completed is The McManus Arena in Manchester. All Empire shows will take place there going forward. Other Arena's in Belfast and Swansea are also in development (dependent on roster numbers and activity).

Goal of this Federation
The goal of this fed is simple. We want to have fun and let people bring out the best in themselves and their character/s. We like to give people freedom to explore their characters and gimmicks (whilst sticking to TWG rules) and we encourage and support less experienced role players as much as we can.
Getting Started
Firstly, bios
https://nationwidewrestling.forumotion.co.uk/f7-biography-section
Head to the Biography Section and first, create a biography for your wrestler/
https://nationwidewrestling.forumotion.co.uk/f8-your-wrestler
You need to include the following
Stats (i.e. Height, Weight, home town etc)
History/backstory of your wrestler
Alignment (i.e. Heel, Tweener, Face)
Finisher/Trademarks/taunts (Please note if you are below level 6 and don't have any or some of these feel free to post what you would like your moves to be, and we may edit them into your matches).
Personality and whatever else you think is relevant. Feel free to read some other bio's for inspiration
then any NPC's you have
https://nationwidewrestling.forumotion.co.uk/f9-staff-and-npc-bio-s
Secondly, teams.
https://nationwidewrestling.forumotion.co.uk/f10-your-team
if you have more than one character, and they are a team, you need to create a team bio in the tag team/stable section
Please note that Team matches are not currently working properly in the generator and so team matches are not usually booked
Thirdly, entrances.
https://nationwidewrestling.forumotion.co.uk/f11-entrances
TWG does not generate team entrances so if you have a team, you need to create an entrance for them and if you want your solo character to have an entrance other than your default TWG entrance, you should create an entrance for them. Include theme music or an entrance video in the form of a YouTube link along with your entrance.
Fourthly, your fed card.
https://nationwidewrestling.forumotion.co.uk/f24-fed-card-request-thread
Head to the graphics section and READ the fed card request thread post for requirements before requesting fed cards for your wrestler/s and NPC's if you have any.
So, What's expected of me each week?
Role Plays
This is the basic requirement for every active member of the roster. You will be expected to RP for every show you are booked on, and we encourage people to RP every week, regardless of whether they are booked or not.
If you are an active role player your pay will increase (resetting at the end of the season), if you do not RP your contract may be cancelled.
We understand that different Feds have different rules. For information on Roleplay formatting, read this https://nationwidewrestling.forumotion.co.uk/t43-roleplay-guidelines-please-read
Log on to the forum regularly, at least once a week. This is important for many reasons but mainly for announcements
If you are on Discord, join the Owenverse Server (this is not mandatory) (ask for link if you haven't already received it)
Inactive Wrestlers
If you become inactive or never get active, unless you inform us of issues preventing you from being active, your contract may be terminated. In the meantime, your wrestler may be used by the Federation however we see fit. So in order for your wrestler not to become a jobber please try to stay active and RP regularly. You will also be overlooked for title opportunities if you do not RP regularly.
VGM’s
I run this federation but it’s a lot of work! And I couldn't do it without help. Luckily we have a good team here of VGM's. If you would like to get involved in match writing, RP writing for inactives, coaching, graphics or just behind the scenes planning please get in touch. Not everyone can be VGM and any decision will be at the discretion of the general manager. Also, please note that any wrestlers who are VGM’s do not appear in the Federation show as VGM’s, it’s strictly behind the scenes, nor do their characters get preferential treatment.
Hall of Fame
There is no Path to Glory Hall of Fame, there never was and there are no plans to make one any time soon. When the fed has a good few seasons to look back on, maybe then it will be introduced but until then... no.
When will I get a title shot?
Asking this question will NOT get you any closer to a title. Its more likely to have the opposite effect. If you have come in expecting to be made champion week one, you have made a mistake, as have I in signing you. There's nothing wrong with wanting to be champion, far from it, but nothing will be handed to you on a plate, no matter what reputation you think you have. You WILL get opportunities if you are willing to put in the effort but you need to understand that there are other hard-working individuals here who may be waiting for their chance. If you are not prepared to wait, don't let the door hit you on the way out.
So that about covers it I think. Welcome to the Path to Glory family, I hope you will have fun and make friends here just as I did and enjoy it here for many seasons to come. Anything I haven't covered, don't be afraid to ask.
